Frequently Asked Questions
You can find our most popular frequently asked questions around driving lessons below
What if I get nervous driving in busy traffic in Tallaght?
That is very common especially if you are a new learner. Lessons can be taken at a quiet pace and then move on to busier roads as your confidence grows.
If I already know the fundamentals, can I take lessons?
Yes. If you can move off, stop and control the car, then the lessons can focus more on road position, observation, junctions, roundabouts and test level driving.
How often will I have my driving lessons?
Weekly lessons help most students learn faster. Long breaks can slow your progress, since you spend time re-learning skills you already covered.
Will I be told what mistakes I keep making?
Yes. A good lesson should not be just driving around. Your teacher should point out recurring mistakes in a clear way and help you to fix them before they become habits.
If I’ve failed my test before, can lessons help?
Yes. You can concentrate your future lessons on the areas where you lost marks, for example observation, progress, road positioning or control.
